Preservation and conservation are big buzzwords these days, but we cannot help that many developers may talk about it, while very few are truly doing it. The heart and soul of our communities exists in our making sure that the mountain land we fell in love with initially is land that our residents will love for a lifetime and beyond.
Our residents and future residents share with us the necessity of finding breathing room, peace, serenity and privacy in our homes. We wish not to plow trees and remove fragile fauna, but to protect it, celebrate it and ensure that it's there for you to enjoy forever. For a fortunate few, we consistently offer a limited number of home sites within each mountain property. Creating a conservation community is far more involved, however, than just protecting land.
It begins with vision and conscience, and is filled with layers of information. From vegetation, topography, natural features, creeks, streams and wetlands, history and wildlife, no stone is left unturned to ensure that each piece of the puzzle has its own place and reason for being. In a country that has become overly urbane, rigidly regulated and predictably planned, how refreshing to find communities like ours that remain untamed and offer personal freedom and childlike adventure.
